Drunk Driver Leads Stoughton Police on High Speed Chase, Reportedly Assaults Officer An alleged drunk driver led Stoughton Police on a high speed chase into Brockton early last Sunday morning, according to Executive Officer Robert Devine. Stoughton Police Sgt. John Bonney attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Jayson Zimmerman, 29, of Country Club Dr. in Randolph, on Park St. near Alger Way in Stoughton, but Zimmerman kept driving, with the pursuit eventually ending at 339 Arthur Paquin Way in Brockton, about four miles away. Stoughton Police Arrest Seven For Drunk Driving in Past Week

Drunk Driver Leads Stoughton Police on High Speed Chase, Reportedly Assaults Officer

Sgt. John Bonney led a pursuit of an alleged drunk driver from Stoughton into Brockton early Sunday morning. The driver, a 29-year-old Randolph man, faces several charges in addition to OUI, including assaulting a police officer.

An alleged drunk driver led Stoughton Police on a high speed chase into Brockton early Sunday morning, according to Executive Officer Robert Devine.  Stoughton Police Sgt. John Bonney attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Jayson Zimmerman, 29, of Country Club Dr. in Randolph, on Park St. near Alger Way in Stoughton, but Zimmerman kept driving, with the pursuit eventually ending at 339 Arthur Paquin Way in Brockton, about four miles away, according to the Stoughton Police Log.  Zimmerman reached speeds of around 70 during the pursuit, which took place shortly after 1:40 a.m. on March 3, Devine said. Stoughton Police Assist Norfolk County DA in Making Local Drug Bust

Norfolk DA Drug Task Force and local police arrested a Canton mortgage broker and three associates seizing as much as 70 pounds of alleged marijuana and $110,000 in possible drug proceeds.

The following is a press release from the Office of Norfolk County District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey: State Police detectives assigned to Norfolk County District Attorney Michael Morrissey’s Drug Task Force, working with Canton and Stoughton detectives, have seized as much as 70 pounds of alleged marijuana and $110,000 in possible drug proceeds – arresting four, according to DA Morrissey on Wednesday. A brawl broke out a baby shower at Club Luis de Camoes on Porter Street late Saturday night with four people getting arrested, including one juvenile.

BABY SHOWER TURNS INTO BRAWL: A baby shower at Club Luis de Camoes on Porter Street Saturday night turned into a full-fledged brawl that took 20 police officers nearly an hour to quell. Four people ended up getting arrested, including one juvenile. A Stoughton Police detail officer was working the 9 p.m. to midnight baby shower on Jan. 12, when a fight broke out inside the club. The officer called in backup, and at 11:38 p.m, there was a full brawl in progress that had spilled outside the building. Executive Officer Robert Devine told me that the time the incident occurred was of benefit to the police. "We had our midnight shift coming in, so we had more bodies that we'd normally have."
