Stoughton Man Arrested for Smuggling Drugs into Jail

A 26-year-old Stoughton man has been charged with smuggling drugs (believed to be Suboxone) into the Norfolk County House of Correction, according to Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey.

The following is from the office of Norfolk County District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey: A 26-year-old Stoughton man has been arrested and charged with allegedly smuggling drugs into the Norfolk County House of Correction in Dedham by mailing envelopes doctored to appear as if they came from area law firms to avoid detection, according to Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey. “Sheriff Mike Bellotti contacted us last month to begin a joint investigation based on information that his department had developed,” District Attorney Morrissey said. “With their partnership, Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to our drug unit executed a search warrant [Tuesday] afternoon on a package that had arrived at the facility. …

Man Arrested in Stoughton For Third Drunk Driving Offense

Drunk Driving An Avon man was arrested in the early morning hours of April 4 for allegedly driving drunk for a third time. Stoughton Police made a motor vehicle stop at 1:13 a.m. on April 4 at the intersection of Page St. and Maple St., and placed two men in custody. Paulo J. Barros, 38, of Teddy Dr. in Avon, was charged with OUI liquor (third offense); negligent operation of a motor vehicle; operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license; marked lanes violation; and the unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.  Meanwhile, a 38-year-old Brookline man was taken into protective custody.  *** Suspicious …

State Police Arrest Stoughton Woman for Drunk Driving

The arrest came during a State Police run sobriety checkpoint Friday on Neponset St. in Canton.

A Stoughton woman was arrested Friday in Canton for allegedly driving drunk, according to a press release from the Massachusetts State Police. The State Police conducted a sobriety checkpoint on Neponset Street in Canton April 5, resulting in the arrest of six people for OUI alcohol and drugs with two criminal summons, according to the release. State Police also issued 88 civil motor vehicle citations. Mia Cancel, 46, of Stoughton, was charged with OUI liquor. Those arrested during the sobriety checkpoint in Canton were expected to appear in Stoughton District Court on Monday, according to the release. State Police also conducted a sobriety checkpoint on Route 3A in Lowell on April 6, resulting in the arrest of 12 people for OUI.

Stoughton Man Charged with OUI Drugs is Tased After Assaulting Officers, Resisting Arrest

A Stoughton man was arrested Thursday morning by Stoughton Police after he was seen "huffing" from an aerosol can.

The following information is from the Stoughton Police Department: A Stoughton man faces multiple charges after he allegedly inhaled toxic substances, and then resisted arrest.  School Resource Officer Robert Kuhn responded to a crash on Cushing St. at Station St. at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 4 where he saw Boris Rabkin, 26, of Columbia Rd. in Stoughton, allegedly "huffing" from an aerosol can. "Rabkin refused orders to shut off his vehicle and fled the area with Ofc. Kuhn in pursuit," according to a post on the Stoughton Police Department Facebook page.  "Rabkin stopped in the driveway of his residence and promptly charged Officer Kuhn who had drawn his firearm. Seven Men Arrested in Brockton and Stoughton for Distributing Oxycodone

In addition to the seven arrested in Brockton and Stoughton, an eighth man related to the investigation was also arrested in Connecticut. They were indicted on federal distribution of Oxycodone charges.

The following is a press release from the office of United States Attorney Carmen M. Ortiz, District of Massachusetts: Seven men were arrested in Brockton and Stoughton charged Thursday in federal court on oxycodone distribution charges and aiding and abetting. An eighth man related to the investigation was also arrested on state drug charges. Stoughton Man Arrested for Alleged Armed Robbery at Canton Gas Station

The incident occurred at Austin's Mobil gas station on Washington Street in Canton shortly after midnight on Friday, police said.

Editor's Note: The following information was obtained through a press statement from the Canton Police Department. Arrests mentioned do not indicate conviction.  A Stoughton man was arrested in Canton early Friday morning after he allegedly robbed Austin's Mobil gas station at 2776 Washington Street (Route 138) in Canton near the Interstate 93 interchange, according to an announcement from the Canton Police Department.  Carlos Omar Santiago, 35, of Stoughton was arrested without incident. State Police Arrest Man in Stoughton After Highway Car Stop Turns up Firearm, Drugs

A Hyde Park man was arrested on gun and drug charges following a motor vehicle stop Sunday night on Route 24 in Stoughton.

The following is adapted from a Massachusetts State Police Press release: Massachusetts State Police arrested a man late Sunday night on gun and drug charges following a stop on Route 24 in Stoughton. At approximately 11:10 p.m. on March 24, State Police Trooper Kevin MacDermott was headed home from a paid detail on Route 24 southbound in Stoughton when he observed a vehicle with an invalid safety inspection sticker. Trooper MacDermott observed the vehicle move over into the far left lane and accelerate up to 90-95 mph before he was able to stop the vehicle in Stoughton. Stoughton Man Arrested for Alleged Home Break-ins Around Mansfield

A Stoughton man was arrested in Mansfield March 19, and faces multiple charges following a number of alleged break-ins around that town.

A Stoughton man was arrested in Mansfield March 19, and faces multiple charges following a number of alleged break-ins around that town.  While on patrol around Old North Trail and Mayflower Dr. in Mansfield, officer Thomas Connor noticed a male on Donegal Way shortly after 9 a.m. on March 19. Observing the male, Connor called for backup. Later, officer Richard Hopkins reported one witness who observed the male walking around the neighborhood in a suspicious manner.  The male was identified as Ryan Wilson, 24, of Kinney Ct., Stoughton. Wilson was wanted on an outstanding warrant for allegedly breaking in to houses in the area and was soon found and arrested.
