A Mattapan man allegedly attempted to break into a Stoughton home in the early morning hours of March 30 to continue a fight which started in Brockton. Once arrested, the man acted "completely belligerent," according to police.
A Mattapan man faces several charges for allegedly attempting to break into a Stoughton home early Saturday morning and for uncooperative behavior once placed under arrest, including urinating in the booking room of the police station. The alleged incident stems from a fight which started in Brockton, Executive Officer Robert Devine said. Michael Sherrod, 35, of Arborcrest Terrace in Mattapan, reportedly followed those involved in the fight back to their home in Stoughton on Rogers Drive. Sherrod then tried to kick the door in, smashing the bottom of the door in, trying to continue the fight, Devine said. A 42-year-old man was charged with attempted murder following an incident early Sunday morning on Bell St. in Stoughton.
A 42-year-old Stoughton man is charged with attempted murder after an argument turned violent early Sunday morning, according to Stoughton Police. Police were called to 16 Bell St. in Stoughton at 12:54 a.m. on Oct. 21 after "several calls [reported] a fight and people yelling/screaming," according to the Stoughton Police log. A 17-year-old patient at a Judge Rotenberg home on Park St. in Stoughton was arrested after allegedly setting a fire in the closet of a bedroom Thursday afternoon.
A patient at a Judge Rotenberg home on Park St. in Stoughton was arrested after allegedly setting a fire in a bedroom there late Thursday afternoon. The fire was relatively small, caused a minimal amount of damage and resulted in no injuries, Stoughton Fire Captain Scott Breen said. Redell Culler, 17, was charged with arson of a dwelling; vandalizing property; and two counts of assault and battery, according to the Stoughton Police log. The Stoughton Fire and Police Departments both responded to the incident, which occurred shortly before 4 p.m. on October 4 at the facility located at 1115 Park St. Breen said the incident is "still an active investigation" but a patient appears to have intentionally started the fire. An Avon Man was arrested in Stoughton on September 11 for operating under the influence of liquor (fourth offense).
A 54-year-old Avon man was arrested in Stoughton on Tuesday for operating under the influence of liquor. It was his fourth drunk driving offense, according to the Stoughton Police log. Canton police called at 11:18 p.m. on September 11 stating that a car was "traveling into Stoughton at a high rate of speed on three tires," according to the log. Just a few minutes later, Stoughton Police pulled the car over at the intersection of Washington and Central Streets in Stoughton. Thomas Dwyer, 54, of Avon, was arrested and charged with OUI liquor (fourth offense); failure to stop for a police officer while operating a motor vehicle; and operating a motor vehicle negligently to endanger. WEEKEND RIOT AT JUDGE ROTENBERG HOME IN TOWN: Another day, another incident at a Judge Rotenberg facility. On Saturday, Stoughton Police say that a teenager incited a riot at the JRC house at 1115 Park Street in Stoughton, located right next to the town-owned Cedar Hill Golf Course. Stoughton Police Executive Officer Robert Devine tells About Town that the incident occurred at 11:30 a.m. on August 4. 17-year-old Jakob Moran of Brooklyn, New York was arrested. Stoughton Police arrested a Brockton man Monday after he assaulted people in Stoughton Center and threatened police officers, SPD Executive Officer Robert Devine said. John Noonan, 47, of Brockton, was charged with two counts of assault and battery and disorderly conduct after several witnesses told police Noonan was punching people. Devine said Noonan was stationed by the bus stop in front of Honey Dew Donuts on Washington St. in the downtown. The alleged incident happened around 3:30 p.m. on July 2. Devine said the victims sustained minor injuries.
