Editor's Note: The Stoughton-based South Shore Disaster Animal Rescue Team (SSDART) collected donations for pets impacted by Hurricane Sandy last Saturday, Nov. 17 to be transported to a New Jersey animal shelter. SSDART team leader Chris D'Arpino, a Stoughton resident, writes a letter of thanks to the community for their support of this donation drive. *** Thanks to the generosity of so many people our donation collection day was a HUGE success. Because of these amazing donations this Thanksgiving will be filled with good food, clean blankets and yummy treats for the animals in the emergency shelters in New jersey.
