Stoughton Cheerleading Program Holding Fundraiser for Family of Norton Girl Killed in Route 24 Rollover

Angel Pina, 12, of Norton, died following a single car rollover on Route 24 on the Stoughton/Avon line on July 12. Cheer Nation of Stoughton will be holding an open tumble fundraiser this Friday, July 20 for Angel's family.

A Stoughton cheerleading program will be stepping up this Friday to hold a fundraiser for the family of Angel Pina, the Norton girl who was was killed following a tragic single car rollover on Route 24 southbound on the Stoughton/Avon line. Just 12-years-old, Pina was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. The crash also hospitalized two other Norton women, including Pina's mother, Sandra Ouellette. Pina recently finished fifth grade at the H.A. Yelle School in Norton, according to a release from the Norton Public Schools. She was scheduled to attend Norton Middle School in September. State Police: Investigation of Fatal Route 24 Rollover Suggests Victims Not Wearing Seat Belts

Thursday's rollover crash on Route 24 northbound on the Stoughton/Avon line claimed the life of a Norton 12-year-old girl and injured two other Norton women. A tread failure on a rear tire may have caused the crash, according to State Police.

Troop H of the Massachusetts State Police and the department's Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section are "investigating whether a tread failure on the right rear tire" may have caused the single car Route 24 rollover late Thursday afternoon, which took the life of a 12-year-old Norton girl and injured two other Norton women, according to David Procopio, spokesperson for the MSP. The crash, which involved a 2004 Chevrolet Colorado Avalanche, occurred at 4:43 p.m. on July 12 on Route 24 northbound, about a quarter-mile south of exit 20 (Route 139) on the Stoughton/Avon line. Pregnant Woman in Route 24 Crash Gives Birth

Stephanie Rogers, 21, of Norton, one of three victims in Thursday's crash on Route 24, gave birth to a healthy baby girl.

The July 12 Route 24 rollover that claimed the life of 12-year-old Angel Pina of Norton also induced the labor of passenger Stephanie Rogers, who was 8 months pregnant, according to WCVB Channel 5 news. Rogers gave birth to a healthy baby girl named Jasmine. "Stephanie and Jasmine are doing well," William Rogers, the brother of Stephanie and cousin to the other two victims, wrote on the Norton Patch Facebook page.
