Property Near Ames Pond Back on Market as One of Most Expensive Homes For Sale in Stoughton

A four bedroom, 2.5 bathroom Colonial on Highland Rock Dr. is one of the most expensive houses for sale in Stoughton.

According to AOL Real Estate, one of the most expensive homes for sale this past fall in Stoughton is now back on the market.  55 Highland Rock Dr. was on the market for $579,921 this past September, but was taken off, and was recently put back on the market for $565,900 at the beginning of February, according to AOL Real Estate. A Colonial, the home has four bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, central air conditioning, a fireplace and a garage. The master suite has a vaulted ceiling, jacuzzi tub, shower, and walk-in closet. Sand Castle Contest at Ames Pond

The Stoughton Recreation Department held a Sand Castle Contest as part of their Family Fun Day at Ames Pond on August 9.

As part of the Family Fun Day at Ames Pond on August 9, there was a sand castle contest awarding castles in a number of categories like for most tropical or eco-friendly or for which one had the best pirate theme or for which one was the most eye-catching. Ames Pond—A Stoughton Summer Treasure for all Ages

Stoughton history is woven through swim lessons at the pond.

Not only does Stoughton’s Ames Pond provide a scenic view and fishing hole, it provides fantastic family programs and history.  Each year the Stoughton Recreation Department offers swim lessons at the pond.  Each session is two weeks in duration and parents like Laura Mone rave about its quality saying, “My family has been going to the pond since 1999 and all four of my children have taken swim lessons there, and only there.” In fact, Mone goes on to explain that her oldest son, “Robert was the first kid at his summer camp to be able to swim a mile and another son of mine swam on the Stoughton Swim Team. I attribute their abilities to the lessons at the pond.” Mone said she felt it was underutilized and it was obviously a great resource …
