The website, SavingZombies.com, provides readers with a count-down to the alleged "apocalypse" that some have suggested on the internet is predicted for Dec. 21 by the ancient Mayans (several resources have debunked the myth on the Internet, such as NASA.com; the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, meanwhile, has released tongue-in-cheek "zombie warnings," but has also denied the existence of Zombies, according to The Huffington …

Seniors were given tips on how to deal with unanticipated emergencies.
TRIAD Chairman, Donald Interrante recently facilitated a group discussion on Red Cross Disaster Preparedness at the Stoughton Senior Center. Stoughton Fire Chief Mark Dolloff established the importance of this topic by polling the group as to how many seniors lost electricity during last summer’s hurricane/tropical storm. With half of the group experiencing a loss of electricity, Dolloff continued to express the timeliness of this meeting with winter now upon us and the drastic impact that utility loss would have in colder temperatures. The Red Cross commended Stoughton’s preparedness saying, “It’s fantastic.” In case of an unanticipated emergency, the Red Cross stresses the importance of having three weeks of supplies on hand.
