The School has a diverse student population that hails from eighteen different countries, and more than 100 students whose second language is English. There are nineteen classroom teachers who are aided by a support staff of more than twenty.

The Helen H. Hansen Elementary School is located on the corner of Central and West streets, at the foot of Chemung Hill.More Home of the Hansen Hawks, Hansen is one of five public elementary schools in Stoughton. The principal is Faye Polillio. There is a playing field and a playground behind the school. Parents and students can visit the website to see the lunch menu and a calendar of upcoming events, or to learn more about the Hansen School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). There are also individual classroom websites that can be accessed via the school's main page.  
West School Athletic Complex

The West School Athletic Complex is located behind the West Elementary School.  There is also an entrance to theMore complex located off the access road that connects Stoughton High School and the O'Donnell Middle School.  It is overseen and maintained by the town's Recreation Department.  

The athletic complex includes four softball fields (one with lights), two baseball fields, a multi-purpose field, a gravel path for walking or running, playground equipment, restrooms and a shaded area with benches to sit and relax.  Many Stoughton High athletic teams play their home games at this facility, including the baseball, softball and field hockey teams. 

The facility is open to the public.  Residents can reserve a field by contacting the Recreation Department and obtaining a field permit. 

Academy of Gymnastics

Academy of Gymnastics is a youth gymnastics school located on West Street in Stoughton. Founded in 1976, it offersMore classes and training to children year round. Professional and recreational classes are both offered, including programs for preschool children ages two years and nine months to five years of age. Inside is a well-equipped gym, including uneven bars, floor bars, rings, tramps and a large exercise area.
Peter B. Looney Athletic Complex

The Peter B. Looney Athletic Complex is located at 232 Pearl Street on the Stoughton High School campus. The athelticMore complex is also accessible via the access road the connects the high school and the O'Donnell Middle School.

This athletic complex, along with the West School Athletic Complex, is the primary home for many of the fall and spring Stoughton High athletic teams. The complex includes a paved track, an open field within the track, tennis courts and an outdoor basketball court. But the centerpiece of the complex is the Anthony L. Sarno, Jr. Football Field, home of the Stoughton High Black Knights football team.

The complex is also open to the public for recreational use and parking is available at the high school.

Academy Preschool

Academy Preschool is located on West Street next to the Gymnastics Academy. The school was founded in 1981 and builtMore a brand new facility in 2006 for students from age 2 years 9 months through 5 years old. The school's mission is to provide a safe and stimulating educational environment that encourages healthy developmental growth.

The program aims to be both "child and parent friendly," and the daily schedule includes free play, circle time with other students, gymnastics, art projects and healthy snacks. Registration information is available on the Academy Preschool website.
