Stoughton Town Hall

Town Hall is located in the downtown area at the intersection of Porter and Pearl Streets.  Open since 1881, theMore building is one of the most recognized and historic landmarks in Stoughton.  The Town Hall houses the Town Manager's office, the Board of Selectmen, the town clerk, the tax collector, the town auditor, the town treasurer, the veterans' agent, the Zoning Board, the Planning Board, the Conservation Commission, the Recreation Department and the Board of Public Health, among other departments.  Great Hall, located on the third floor, is the main meeting room.  

At Town Hall residents can register to vote; pay excise or real estate taxes; obtain birth or death certificates; obtain marriage licenses; obtain copies of property assessment cards; obtain a dog license; obtain zoning or building permits; and inquire about veteran's services.

Stoughton District Court
1288 Central St, Stoughton, MA 02072

Open since 1962, the Stoughton District Court is located on Central Street beside the West Elementary School. ThereMore is a staff of about 50 at the court, including the presiding judge, the Honorable Richard D. Savignano, as well as three clerk magistrates. The court deals with criminal cases, as well as cases dealing with motor vehicle, civil, small claims and mental health issues. There is also a probation department. 

The court serves the towns of Stoughton, Avon, Canton and Sharon.  It is located less less than a mile from the Stoughton Commuter Rail station, making it easily accessible via public transportation. 

South Elementary School
171 Ash St, Stoughton, MA 02072

Home of the Sharks, South Elementary School is located off Ash Street and is one of five public elementary schools inMore town. The current principal is Maureen Mulvey.  

With 264 students and 14 classrooms ranging from kindergarten through fifth grade, South School is the smallest of the five elementary schools in terms of student population. The school grounds also include playing fields, a playground and two blacktop playing areas.
