What's Open, Closed in Stoughton on July 4

Independence Day arrives Friday, and for residents sticking around in the area, here's a roundup of what's open and closed for the holiday: 

  • Retail stores: Open at owners' discretion.
  • Supermarkets and liquor stores: Open at owners' discretion.
  • Convenience stores: Most open.
  • Bars and restaurants: Open at owners' discretion.
  • Town offices & library: Closed.
  • Banks: Closed.
  • Schools: Closed.
  • Post office: Closed.
  • MBTA: The Providence/Stoughton Line will operate a Saturday schedule.
  • Trash/Recycling: There will be no curbside trash collection on Friday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Friday's collection, instead, will be moved to Monday, July 7 in addition to regular Monday trash collection.
