New Stoughton Town Clerk Starts Today

Welcome to Amy Summers, who is starting her first day as the new Stoughton town clerk. Good luck to her on her new job. Human resources director James Kelley had been filling in as the interim town clerk.

Stoughton School Committee to Meet Tuesday
The Stoughton School Committee will be meeting Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 7 p.m. at the high school's television studio. The teachers, who the school administration is in contract talks with, are expected to show up at the meeting to voice their concerns.

Only a Few Tickets Are Left For Library Play
A few tickets remain at the Stoughton Library for "Murder of the Loaded Librarian," Saturday, Jan. 18, from 7-9 p.m. at Ahavath Torah Congregation, 1179 Central St. You can get tickets from cast members. There will be no sales at the door.

Big Week for Stoughton Boys' Basketball Team
The 3-5 Stoughton High boys' basketball team have two big home games this week. The Black Knights will face Mansfield, one of the top teams in the state, Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 6:30 p.m. and then Davenport Division rival Oliver Ames is in town for a 6:30 p.m. game Friday night.

Warm Start to the Week
Today, the mild winter weather continues, according to WHDH, as highs will reach into the low 50 with mostly sunny skies. It will be rainy in the 40s Tuesday and Wednesday with a possible of snow showers Thursday in the morning. Friday, the sun is expected back with high of 39 before the temperatures drop into the freezing mark on the weekend.
