Does Roger Goodell only have bad ideas?

The patriots start their playoff run today but earlier this week the red headed stepchild who is the commissoner of the NFL annouced not one but two bad ideas.

Numero Uno:  Expand the playoffs to 7 teams.

Great Idea Rog!  So we will have an odd number of teams in each divison.  The number of teams getting in now is perfect,  so why mess with it?  Also expanding the playoffs rewards mediocority and then the NFL will just turn into the NBA or NHL were the regular season means nothing.  Also this means another game for the players.  So much for this player safety concerns.

Numero Dos:  London could have a Super Bowl.

I dont care that the league has a game or two a year in London between the Jaguars and Titans or Cardinals and Bucs.  But to have the the most American sporting event in the world in England is the same thing as announcing you support communism.  The people in England like football but they dont love it like we do in America.  They do give a crap about the Super Bowl.  If we had the Premier League Championship in America no one here would care either.

You combine these two awful idea with awful ideas that Goodell has already succesfully execute such as moving the NFL draft to Thrusday and Friday night and having Thrusday night football. I am starting to wonder if his goal is to ruin the league.  Yes I know it is all about the money, but if you water down the product and make it mediocore then in the long term you product is not going to sell as good as it is right now.  All in all the guy is just looking to cash in now and does not give two craps about the future of the league.
