Stoughton's 2013 Fourth of July Parade Guide

In addition to the 2 p.m. parade, there will be a craft fair at Faxon Park, hosted by Chris Cares International, and an open house at the Stoughton Historical Society.

Annual Independence Day Parade

Stoughton's July 4th Parade starts around 2 p.m. at the corner of Park St. and Prospect St., continues down Park St., through the downtown, continues on Washington St. and then ends at the DPW on Central St.

There will be a viewing stand set up in Stoughton Center, in front of the old Pacheco Hardware building.

About Town Columnist Mark Snyder will serve as the emcee of the parade. Before the start of the parade, Mark will be hosting a trivia game for all ages (at the viewing stand).

Craft Fair & Festival at Faxon Park

Join Chris Cares International for a Craft Fair/Festival at Faxon Park in Stoughton from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 4.

There will be vendors (25+ crafters), entertainment, music, food, and more.

Chris Cares International is a non-profit run by Stoughton resident Christine Lott, with the goal of fighting poverty by providing a free English education to some of the neediest children over in Africa in Tanzania.  

Stoughton Historical Society Open House

The Stoughton Historical Society will be hosting an open house on Thursday, July 4 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at its 6 Park St. location in the downtown. 

The open house will feature exhibits on Stoughton in the Civil War and farming at Capen-Reynolds.
