Check out photo highlights from Stoughton's annual Independence Day Parade, held the afternoon of July 4.

The parade started at the corner of Park St. and Prospect St., continued down Park St., through the downtown, and continued on Washington St. (Route 138) before ending at the DPW on Central St.

The parade included the Stoughton Police and Fire departments, as well as the fire departments from a number of neighboring towns; vehicles from the Stoughton Department of Public Works; the Stoughton Public Library; town and local politicians; local businesses, championship youth sports teams; marching bands; and a collection of unique, and in some cases, antique vehicles.

About Town columnist Mark Snyder hosted the parade. The parade was organized and run by the Stoughton Community Events Committee.
