STOYAC Travel Basketball: Week 1 Scoreboard

The travel basketball season started this past Sunday (Dec. 4) for the teams representing STOYAC/Stoughton in the Metrowest travel league.

Four of Stoughton’s teams earned victories in their season openers (the fifth grade boys and girls, the seventh grade boys and the eighth grade boys), while the sixth grade boys’ and girls’ squads fell in close contests to start their respective seasons.

Here are this week’s season-opening scores courtesy STOYAC/George Dolinsky: 

• 5th grade boys defeated Sharon 27-21

• 5th grade girls defeated Norwood 39-15

• 7th grade boys defeated Westboro 46-38

• 8th grade boys defeated Easton 51-48

• 4th grade girls lost to Easton 37-26

• 4th grade boys lost to Sharon 35-27

• 6th grade boys lost to Needham 55-51

• lost to Milton 47-45

• 7th grade girls lost to Wellesley 54-33

• 8th grade girls lost to Norwood 48-39

The following Stoughton/STOYAC travel teams will be playing in the this upcoming Sunday, Dec. 11.

• 8:30 a.m. - 6th grade girls vs. Mansfield

• 9:50 a.m. - 5th grade boys vs. Taunton

• 11:10 a.m. - 7th grade girls vs. Millis

• 12:30 p.m. - 7th grade boys vs. Walpole
