STOYAC Pop Warner B-Raiders Eye Super Bowl Berth

The 7-2 B-Raiders beat Foxborough in the opening round of the Hockomock League Division 1 Junior Midget Pop Warner playoffs and now face Westwood in the semifinals Nov. 11, with the winner going to the Super Bowl.

A shutout win against Foxborough in the first round of the Hockomock League Division 1 Junior Midget Pop Warner playoffs has the STOYAC B-Raiders one game away from a return trip to the Hockomock League Super Bowl.

Foxborough beat Stoughton 26-14 in the first game of the season, but Stoughton won the rematch in the playoffs, 26-0, Sunday, Nov. 4 in Foxborough.

The B-Raiders were led by two touchdowns from Nick Spohn. Alex Sjoquist and Ryan Sullivan also scored for Stoughton.

Coach Greg Spohn said the playoff win over Foxborough was a "solid all-around defensive effort, with all players contributing."

The B-Raiders will be playing Westwood this coming Sunday, Nov. 11 at 10:30 a.m. in Westwood (at Westwood High School located at 200 Nahatan Street) in the  semifinals, with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.

The Super Bowl will be Sunday, Nov. 18 at Stoughton High School.

After losing in the Super Bowl a year ago, the B-Raiders finished this regular season 7-2.

King Philip and North Attleboro will play in the other semifinal game, with the winner playing the winner of the Stoughton/Westwood matchup.
