STOYAC basketball scores from the quarterfinal round of the recreation league playoffs and from the final week of the regular season for the travel league.

The STOYAC recreation basketball program has started its second season as the action heated up in the quarterfinal round of the playoffs.

Semi-final action will be held on Saturday March 10th at the following locations:

DAWE SCHOOL

  • Peewee boys at 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
  • Peewee girls at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

O'DONNELL MIDDLE SCHOOL

  • Junior Boys at 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
  • Junior Girls at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

STOUGHTON HIGH SCHOOL

  • Senior Boys at 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
  • Senior Girls at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

The teams representing STOYAC and Stoughton in the Metrowest travel Basketball League started gearing up for their playoffs as they had the best Sunday of the season (March 4) with seven teams posting victories.

  • 8th grade girls finished the season at 8-2 with a win over Bridgewater, 42-36
  • 6th grade girls finished the season at 10-2 with a win over Franklin, 43-33
  • 5th grade girls finished the season at 4-8 with a win over Needham, 27 to 24
  • 4th grade girls finished the season at 4-8 with a win over Newton, 19-15 (OT)
  • 7th grade boys finished the season at 7-5 with a win over King Phillip, 63-33
  • 6th grade boys finished the season at 8-4 with a win over Millis, 61-52
  • 4th grade boys finished the season at 5-7 with a win over Norton, 41-39
  • 8th grade boys finished the season at 3-9 with a loss to Easton, 64-61
  • 5th grade boys finished the season at 5-5 with a loss to Mansfield, 56-51

The players and coaches of all the travel teams would like to thank all the spectators who packed the O'Donnell Middle School gym each week to cheer them on. Your support, home and away, meant a lot. They would also like to thank the custodial staff at the OMS for the chair set up each week and for keeping the court clean. Their help was greatly appreciated.
