Stoughton's U14 Boys' Soccer Team Heads to Massachusetts Tournament of Champions

After winning the South Shore Soccer League finals, Stoughton heads to the MTOC, vying for a state title.

After beating Brockton last Sunday following penalty kicks in the finals of the , is headed to the Massachusetts Tournament of Champions (MTOC), now vying for a title at the state level.

Stoughton, undefeated at 11-0, is one of 12 teams to advance to the MTOC at the U14 boys' Division 2 level

Stoughton is in group A with teams from Andover, Scituate and Athol.

Their first game of round robin play is Friday, June 22 at 10 a.m. against Andover. They play later on Friday at 5 p.m. against Athol and then Saturday, June 23 at 12:30 p.m. against Scituate. 

Four of the 12 teams advance from round robin play to the semifinals on Sunday, June 24 at 8 a.m. The finals are 1 p.m. on Sunday.

All games are played at Citizens Bank Fields at Progin Park in Lancaster, MA, about 75 minutes from Stoughton.

The Stoughton team, sponsored by Stelios Pizza House, is coached by Rob Mitchell and Bob Fishman.

Players include: Marco Antunes; Cam Carpenter; Nate Espinal; Jeremy Fishman; Matt Gallagher; Max Goodman; Conor Kavanagh; Joshua Mitchell; Colin O'Neil; Will Peoples; Adam Potter; Izaiah Roberts; Malyke Ross; Noah Schulze; Kyle Silverman; Trevor Simmons; Hunter Sprague; and Derek Westhaver.
