Stoughton's Jade Paul, Relay Team Qualify for States at Girls' Indoor Track Meet

Jade Paul qualified for states in the 600-meter event at Wednesday's meet at the Reggie Lewis Center. The 4 x 400 relay team also qualified for states.

The girls’ indoor track team’s 4 x 400 relay team qualified for the state meet with a time of 4:24.14

The quartet of Julia Quattrucci, Rachel Berkowsky, Mackenzie Hudson and Jade Paul turned in the qualifying time at a meet held Wednesday at the Reggie Lewis Center. The state meet will be held later this season.

Like the boys’ team, the vacation week was officially a bye for Stoughton, but the girls still competed at the Reggie Lewis Center along with the other Hockomock League schools.

He said his hurdlers—Hudson, Alicia Macomber, Leesa Snyder and Kelly Collins—are “rounding into form.”

Ifeoma Okeke is “coming on strong” in the dash and in the 300-meter.

Clarke said Nobrina Seng is the team’s top shot putter, and Angela Vieira and Lauren Carmichael improve with each meet.

Meanwhile, Kerry O'Neil and Deirdre Simms lead the team in the mile and 2-mile event.

Stoughton (1-1) is back in action on January 5 against Foxboro (at BU).
