While it's still early in the season, Friday's Oliver Ames at Stoughton game could gone along way to seeing who will be making the playoffs. Stoughton is tied with Hopkinton with 11 ranking for second place, behind Oliver Ames at 12.33 in the Division 3 Southwest standings. Since the Black Knights are hosting OA, Friday at 3:45 p.m., one of them should fall in the rankings. A loss will also put them a game behind in the Davenport Division for first place. Hopkinton had a wild game against Holliston, winning 35-26. The Hilliers should have an easier time with Medway this week. Hingham (2-1) is moving up to host Division 1 South Catholic Memorial, who is off to a 1-2 stat.

The Stoughton varsity field hockey team lost to Canton, 3-0. Katie Cellucci played well in goal, making 17 saves. The JV field hockey team lost to Canton, 3-2. Ashley Chipman and Emily Manning scored the goals. The freshmen field hockey team defeated Brockton 5-1. Olivia Schlehuber scored two goals, while Mia Russell, Thayna Oliviera and Aart Patel scored one goal each.
