The captains for the boys’ spring track team this year are seniors Marlon Crome, Alex Lorius, Jordan Ricci and Paul Solem. “All are key contributors for the Black Knights in their events,” Blonder said.

According to Blonder: Crome and Solem specialize in the distance events, but are counted on to run anything from the 400-meters to the 2-mile run. Crome also high jumps and triple jumps. During the winter he qualified for the state meet in the high jump.

Lorius also high jumps and is a sprinter/hurdler. During the winter he ran a state qualifying time in the 55-meter hurdle event and is “looking good” for the longer 110-meter hurdles event. Ricci has been one of the team’s top discus and javelin throwers. He ran on the hurdle relay team last year and this year is running the 400-meter hurdles.
