Stoughton High Track Teams Compete in MSTCA Relay Meet

Two Stoughton High teams medaled at the weekend meet, held at Whitman Hansen Regional High School.

The MSTCA Div 2 Relay Meet was held Sunday, April 29 at Whitman Hansen Regional High School, with both the taking part.

On the girls' side, the shuttle hurdle team of Alicia Macomber, Leesa Snyder, Kelly Collins and Mackenzie Hudson finished 5th overall to win a medal.

The 4 x 800-meter relay team of Jade Paul, Amy Kelly, Kerry O'Neil and Deirdre Simms qualified for states with a time of 10:20 and finished 7th overall. 

The 4 x 400-meter relay team lowered their state qualifying time to 4:19.2 from 4:27, with the quartet of Julia Quattrucci, Amy Kelly, Kelly Barros and Jade Paul finishing 9th.

The 4 x 100-meter relay team of Kadijah Dansby, Leesa Snyder, Kelly Collins and Mackenzie Hudson finished 21st.

The discuss team of Chrystal Holland, Julia Quattrucci and Ariene Ohimor finished 16th overall.

On the boys' side, the top team for the boys' on Sunday was the triple jump team of Andrew Valle, Aaron and Matt Mack, which medaled with their 6th place finish.

Three other teams placed in the top ten - the hurdle relay of Steffan Jackson, Kevin McDonald, Valle and John Eppenstein (7th); the 4 x 800-meter relay of Nick Green, Jason Marshall, Paul Comeau and Wayne Barnaby (10th); and the 4 x 100-meter  relay of both Macks, Lennox Green and Malachi Baugh (10th).

The 4 x 400-meter team of Nick Green, Jack D'Addieco, Marshall and Baugh was 11th as was the discus team of Brandon Alves, Ben Cromwell and Alex Green. 
Alves, Kevin Lucas and D'Addieco teamed up to finish 12th in the shot put. 

Other teams competing included the long jump team of Samir Sofi, Baugh and Aaron Mack (13th) and the sprint medley team of Alec DeNapoli, Valle, Jackson and Sofi (18th).

Both track teams are scheduled to host Canton on Wednesday, May 2.
