Stoughton High's Quattrucci Tackles Heptathlon
The sevens events included the 100-meter hurdles; shot put; high jump; 200-meters; javelin; long jump; and 800-meter run.
In what was supposed to be a two day event, senior Julia Quattrucci completed all seven events in a heptathlon held Wednesday and Thursday at Notre Dame Academy in Hingham just on Wednesday, so she could attend her on Thursday.
Despite the added obstacle, Quattrucci turned in a solid performance on June 6.
She started off with the 100-meter hurdles, finishing in 19.12. This was followed by the shot put (25 foot throw); the high jump (4'4"); the 200-meters (31 seconds); the javelin (94'7"); the long jump (12'2") and the 800-meter (2:38.35).

"Julia is pure all-around athlete," said her coach, Bob Clarke.
Quattrucci will attend the University of Massachusetts - Lowell in the fall.
