A few tenths of a second is all that separated Stoughton’s Jade Paul and Natick’s Laurie Femmel in the girls’ 600-meter event at Thursday’s Division 2 MIAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Femmel edged out Paul, winning the event, finishing in 1:35.60. Paul, who came in second, finished in 1:35.90, breaking her own school record in the 600-meters (1:36.06).
