Stoughton High Hockey Loses to Middleboro

The Black Knights fall 5-1 Wednesday evening. Jamie Connors had the lone goal for the Black Knights.

Led by Cody Braga’s two goals, Middleboro beat the 5-1 Wednesday evening at the Bridgewater Ice Arena.

With the loss, Stoughton falls to 1-14-1. The Black Knights also lost to in the season opener.

Middleboro scored two goals each in both the first and second periods to take a 4-0 lead heading into the final period of play. Middleboro tacked on their final goal in the third to take a 5-0 lead.

Stoughton avoided the shutout when senior Jamie Connors scored with 12.2 seconds left in the game. Corey Greenblatt and John Catrone had the assists.

It was the first goal of the season for Connors and the first assists of the season for Greenblatt and Catrone.

Stoughton goalie PJ Sheehan faced 30 shots and made 25 saves.

The Black Knights next play King Philip Friday at the Asiaf Arena in Brockton.
