Stoughton High Hockey Falls in Season-Opener

The Black Knights lost 2-0 to Middleboro in their first game of the 2011-2012 season.

The lost its season opener to Middleboro, 2-0, on Saturday.

The Black Knights gave up two goals in the first period, but head coach Dan Mark said Stoughton “settled down and played scoreless hockey the rest of the way.”

Unfortunately for Stoughton, the Black Knights were unable to erase the early deficit.

P.J. Sheehan made 28 saves in net, keeping Stoughton in the game.

Mark said Drew DiStefano, Ryan McSweeney and Brandon Lima played well in their first varsity games.
