After a 1-5 start, the team has gone 8-4 to climb back to the .500 mark at 9-9.

After the Quincy game Jackman said, "Great overall win for our team this afternoon. We went out swinging the bats well and were able to get some early runs up on the board. It was nice to see how well J [Pires] was swinging the bat today. We are going to need more at bats like today from him to make a deep run in the tourney."

Connelly, the team's catcher, was impressed with Kaplan's performance on the mound.

"I think Brian did a great job of managing the game today," Connelly said. "We really worked on getting the hitters off balance and he did a good job of hitting his spots. Brian continues to pitch gems for us and we will take them."

Stoughton will look to earn magic win number 10 Monday afternoon when the team travels to Canton, in what can be considered the biggest game of the year for the Knights.
