Stoughton College Sports Scene: Dragon to Play on National TV

Fabrice Dragon, a Stoughton native, is on the defensive line for the Stonehill College football team, who will be hosting the University of New Haven this upcoming Thursday night on the CBS Sports Network.

Stoughton's Fabrice Dragon will get a chance to play in the national spotlight when the Stonehill College football team hosts the University of New Haven Thursday, Oct. 18, in a game, which will be broadcast on the CBS Sports Network's National TV Game of the week.

The Skyhawks are 4-3 on the season and have a bye this weekend. Dragon, who was a standout at Cardinal Spellman, is a senior defensive end at Stonehill. On the year, he has 22 tackles and 2.5 sacks.

Former Stoughton High standout Brandon Alves is a freshman defensive end for Springfield College, while Colby Calisi is a sophomore linebacker for Curry College. Felipe Njeim is a fullback for Nichols College. He caught a 60-yard touchdown pass on Oct. 13.

Anthony Ferzoco is a senior linebacker for the Bridgewater State University football team and Matt Green is a junior wide receiver. Will McNamara is a sophomore wide-receiver and quarterback for the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth Corsairs. All three are former Stoughton High standouts.

Also at UMD, Michael Caplan is a freshman freestyle swimmer.

Alicia Macomber is seeing action as a freshman forward for the Worcester State University women's soccer team, scoring two goals and getting two assists in 10 games. Emily Wilder is a sophomore midfielder at Curry College.

Regis College sophomore Adena Joseph has three goals and an assist on the women's soccer team. She was named the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week in early September. 

Kerry Sabanty is a senior on the Worcester State men's cross-country team.
