Stoughton Athletes Fight Like Knights Against Hunger

Stoughton High athletes took part in "Stoughton Athletes vs. Hunger" in October, collecting goods for the Stoughton Food Pantry.
Organizing by Black Knight volleyball head coach Ken Gay, the event had teams going each other to collect the most goods. The percentages are based on the amount of goods brought in by that specific team vs. the amount of students on that team.
Boys' cross-country, girls' cross-country, volleyball, field hockey, golf, boys' soccer, girls' soccer and football all took part in the campaign.
The top results were:
First place: Boys' cross-country, 1257-percent.
Second place: Girls' cross-country, 1070-percent.
Third place: Volleyball, 908-percent
Fourth place: Field hockey, 745-percent.
Fifth place: Golf, 185-percent.
As a group, the athletes gave 354-percent in the fight against hunger.
The team with the most donations was volleyball with 355 items followed closely by field hockey with 350. The total donation equaled 1114 items.
Stoughton winter and spring athletes will also be taking part in the campaign.
