Gallery: Stoughton High Volleyball Cruises to Win in Opener

The Stoughton High volleyball team turned in a straight-sets win Thursday to start its 2012 season.

Led by Emma Zuk, Kayla Motley and Nicole Daniels, the swept Attleboro in the Black Knights' season opener.

Stoughton turned in a straight-sets win at home on Thursday, 25-11, 25-11, 25-15.

Zuk had 22 assists from the setter position; Motley with 8 kills at middle hitter; and Nicole Daniels had 9 straight service points in the second set.

"It was a total team effort with everyone contributing to the win," coach Ken Gay wrote in an email. "Our next match is Tuesday at Franklin. They are always a tough team to beat and it will give us a better measure as to where we are as a team."
