Photo Gallery: Macomber, Paul Pace Stoughton High Girls’ Indoor Track at Hockomock Championships

Alicia Macomber and Jade Paul led the at Saturday’s Hockomock League Championship meet, held at the Reggie Lewis Center.

Both earned second place finishes in their respective individual events, picking up 16 of Stoughton’s 18 points at the championship meet.

The Black Knights finished tied with Attleboro for eighth overall.

All three Stoughton hurdlers—Macomber, Leesa Snyder and Kelly Collins—set new personal bests at the meet, coach Bob Clarke said.

Macomber finished second overall in the 55-meter hurdles event with a personal best and a new school record of 8.87 seconds. Snyder finished seventh overall, one spot shy of scoring.

Paul recorded a second place finish in 600-meter event with a time of 1:37.97.  She finished just one second behind the winner.

Kerry O’Neil scored in the two-mile event, finishing sixth overall (1 point) with a time of 12:23.87.

The 4 x 400-meter relay team of Julia Quattrucci, Rachel Berkowsky, Mackenzie Hudson, and Paul finished off the scoring for the Stoughton with a 6th place finish (1 point) in that event with a time of 4:25.11.

Next up for Stoughton is the MIAA Division 2 Championships on Thursday, February 16 (for those who qualified).
