Paul, Green Lead Stoughton High Track at Division 2 Championships
Members of the Stoughton High track teams took part in the Division 2 Outdoor Track and Field Championship held at Whitman-Hanson High School on May 27.
Jade Paul led the Stoughton High girls at the Division 2 Outdoor Track and Field Championship, finishing second in the 800-meter.
Her time of 2:14.78 is a new personal record and also breaks her own school record in the event, girls' coach Bob Clarke said.
The D2 Championships were held May 27 at Whitman-Hanson Regional High School.

Paul, a senior, now advances to compete in the all-state championships this upcoming weekend.
She was also part of the 4 x 400-meter relay team, which competed as well. Mackenzie Hudson Led off (66 seconds), followed by Julia Quattrucci (66 seconds), Kelly Barros (65 seconds) and Paul (59 seconds), for a total of 4:18.35.

Chrystal Holland came in seventh in the shot put with a throw of 33' 1.5". Ariene Ohimor set a personal record in the shot put, with a throw of 31' 5.5".
Julia Quattrucci recorded a throw of 97'6" in the javelin and also set a personal record in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 71.08 seconds.
Kerry O'Neil ran the 2-mile in 12:19.10.
And, Amy Kelly led off the 4x800-meter relay in a personal best time of 2:32, followed by Rachel Berkowsky (2:37) Kerry O' Neil (2:39) and Deirdre Simms (2:36) for a team total of 10:24.86.
Meanwhile, Jason Marshall and Nick Green represented the Stoughton boys at the D2 Championship Meet.
Jason was the only freshman to qualify for the meet and ran well in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing in 66.0 seconds, boys' coach Harvey Blonder said.
Green earned a medal with his 7th place finish in the mile, finishing in 4:30.60.
This caps Green's remarkable senior season, where he turned in impressive results during all three seasons of cross country/track.
Green improved his mile time by 20 seconds from last year. He also finished fourth in a road race in West Bridgewater on Memorial Day, lowering his 5k PR to 16:20, Blonder said.
