Oliver Ames Tops Stoughton High Hockey

The Tigers recorded a 5-0 victory over the Black Knights Wednesday evening. Sean Kyne led OA with two goals, while P.J. Sheehan made 62 saves in goal for Stoughton.

The fell 5-0 to Oliver Ames at the Asiaf Arena in Brockton Wednesday evening in a Davenport Division contest.

Oliver Ames held a 1-0 advantage after the first period and added to their lead, scoring a pair of goals in both the second and third periods.

The Tigers improve to 4-2 with the win, while Stoughton falls to 1-7.

Sean Kyne led OA with two goals, while Justin Davidner recorded two assists. Kyle Hayes, Dylan Burns and Matt Carol scored the other goals.

The play of goalie P.J. Sheehan was a bright spot for Stoughton. Stoughton coach Dan Mark said Sheehan was “outstanding in goal,” facing 67 shots on the night and recording 62 saves. Sheehan has faced 108 shots in Stoughton’s .

Stoughton looks to rebound Saturday against . Oliver Ames will play Franklin on the same night. Both games are at the Asiaf Arena.
