Ohimor, Barnaby Lead Stoughton High Track at MSTCA Meet

The Stoughton High outdoor track team took part in a couple of MSCTA meets this past Saturday - the boys in New Bedford and the girls in Somerville.

The Stoughton High outdoor track team took part in a couple of MSCTA meets this past Saturday - the boys in New Bedford and the girls in Somerville.

GIRLS

The following is from Stoughton girls' coach Bob Clarke:

Nine Stoughton girls competed at this invitational on Saturday at Dilboy Field in Somerville. 

Ariene Ohimor, already state qualified in the discus and the shot put, set a new personal best in the shot put at 31'8", while Kerry O'Neil ran a personal best state qualifier time in the 2-mile (12.07.20). 

Amy Kelly ran the 400 hurdles in 73.15 seconds; Maya Barrant ran the 100-meter dash in 13.95 seconds; Imani David ran the 200-meter in 28.52 seconds; and Sarah Quattrucci ran the 400-meter in 65.81 seconds.

Kadijah Dansby, Imani David, Megan Crimmins, and Maya Barrant were in the 4x100-meter relay finishing in 54.67 seconds.

Megan Crimmins, Sarah Quattrucci, Rebekah Medina, and Amy Kelly were in the 4x400-meter relay, finishing in 4.41.28.

BOYS

The following is from Stoughton boys' coach Harvey Blonder:

Star of the day for the boys was Wayne Barnaby who ran a state qualifier and personal best time in the 2-mile (10:06).

Alfred Parker was 10th in the 100-meter (11.64 seconds) and Samir Sofi placed 7th in the long jump (20'5").

Also competing were Aaron Mack (12.01 seconds), Matt Mack (12.12 seconds) and Marcus Middleton (11.93 seconds) in the 100-meters; Jason Marshall (61.01 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles); Andrew Valle (17.41 seconds in the 110-meter high hurdles and 130' in the javelin); David Lockhart (4:40 in the mile); and Jack D'Addieco (53.60 in the 400-meter).
