COACHES' CORNER:
Oliver Ames Head Coach Don Byron: In the last quarter, we put a really great defensive effort on. We were down by nine in the last quarter to up 10 in matter of six minutes, that's a heck of a defensive effort. When we at nine, (Carney) hit two three-pointers in a row and suddenly it was doable again.
"He's a good kid and I'm glad we got him.
"The Stoughton game is different, just in terms of everything. The kids compete in football, and that was a big thing, obviously, this year. Our games over here have been rock shows with wild atmospheres, crazy endings, controversial endings. We have had all kinds of stuff over there. The kids know this is a little bit different. It was great to have them come out and be able to fight that off tonight and come out great win.
"We kinda of came out of halftime and we said being up 10 probably wasn't a good thing because we had played very, very well for a long stretch of time there. We shot the ball well and rebounded and played defense as well as we can and we still only up by 10.
"Second half of the second period there we went for the home run play instead of just continuing to hammer out what we had done right up to that point  We lost a couple of possessions there and they came back."

Stoughton Head Coach John Gallivan: "It's a game of runs and they are the winners, because they got the last run. We did terrible job on the best player (Ryan Carney) on their team in the fourth quarter. It wasn't the three-pointers that bothered me. They were tough shorts. If he hits them, he hits them. It was when put him at the line again and again.
"He took over because we let him. We kept fouling 50, 40, 30 feet from the basket when he wasn't going to shot.
"To their credit, they were survive a great run by us and were able to pull it out and put us back where we came from.
"From start to finish, Mike Manning was terrific. He came  to play and was executing the offense terrifically. I probably played him too long because he was so hot and I wore him out a little bit. It didn't take us getting down by double digits for him to get mad and get fired up. He just played the whole  time. The rest of us, we were flat in the locker room and we were flat in warmups and you can't spot a team like that a 15-point lead. You just can't."
