Joseph, Levenson and Oliveria provide Highlights for Stoughton High Boys’ Tennis at Mansfield

The Black Knights lost to Mansfield 3-2 on Tuesday with Jalen Joseph winning his singles match and Josh Levenson and Sheldon Oliveria winning their doubles match.

Looking for their first team win of the season and their first team win in four years, the Stoughton High boys’ tennis team came up just short at Mansfield Tuesday afternoon, losing 3-2.

Jalen Joseph stepped in for first singles player Alex Lobrano, winning in straight sets, 7-5, 6-2, notching his first individual win of the season.

The newly formed second doubles duo of Josh Levenson and Sheldon Oliveria earned the other point for the Black Knights, winning in just their second match together.

Levenson and Oliveria took the first set, 7-6, winning the tiebreaker 15-13. The two cruised in the second set, winning 6-3.

It’s the team-leading fourth individual win for Levenson, while Oliveria picked up his second win.

Stoughton, 0-5, resumes play after April Vacation when they travel to North Attleboro for a match on Monday, April 25.
