Green, Alves Lead Stoughton High Boys’ Indoor Track Team at MSCTA Meet

The boys' team took part in a two-day meet this past weekend at the Reggie Lewis Center.

The had five participants at this past weekend’s MSTCA invitational meet at the Reggie Lewis Center.

Saturday's meet was highlighted by Nick Green's 6th place finish in the 2-mile. Green’s time of 9:58.47 was the fastest by a Stoughton boy in over 10 years, coach Harvey Blonder said.

Wayne Barnaby continued to impress in the mile finishing a half second off his best in 4:49.56.

Malachi Baugh ran both the 55-meter (7.04) and 300-meter (38.61) events. Lennox Green also ran the 300-meter (40.16). For both boys their times were very close to their personal bests, Blonder said.

On Sunday, Brandon Alves finished in 14th place overall in the shotput (45'9.75) in a field that represented the best in the state.
