The Stoughton boys ran their record to 4-0 defeating Oliver Ames 91-45. The win assured the boys of at least a share of the Davenport title. A win vs Canton next week would clinch their first sole title of the division since the split of the league.

Andrew Valle won the 110-meter high hurdles (17.0 seconds), Javelin (136'1") and triple jump (40'4"); Malachi Baugh won the 100-meters (11.3 seconds) and 200-meters (23.2 seconds); and Samir Sofi won the long jump (21'0") and the high jump (6'0").

Other Stoughton winners were Jack D'Addieco in the 400-meters (52.7 seconds), David Lockhart in the 800-meters (2:04.5), Wayne Barnaby in the 2-mile (10:39), Kevin Lucas in the shot put (41'8") and Alex Green in the discus (118'8").

It was an impressive win coming in their third meet in the last week. While points were tallied in every track and field event it was the throwers who carried the day.

Stoughton throwers scored 26 of a possible 27 points - sweeping the shot put (Lucas, Joey Wilder, D'Addieco) and the discus (Green, Bobby Blindt, Lucas) and getting first and second in the javelin (Valle, Andrew Kelly).

More state qualifying marks were added by Sofi in the high jump, Baugh in the long jump, Barnaby in the mile, and by relay members Lockhart, Smeet Patel, and Alfred Parker.

Jason Marshall (400-meter hurdles - 60.7 seconds), Joey Wilder (shot put - 41'8"), Alex Oliver (110-meter high hurdles - 17.1 seconds), Bobby Blindt (discus -114') and Andrew Kelly (javelin - 122") each grabbed a second place finish.

Other scorers were Aaron Mack, Harley David, Matt Mack, and Marcus Middleton.

GIRLS

On the girls' side, second place finishers included Megan Crimmins in the 400-meters (68.7 seconds); Shelby Spague in the 100-meter hurdles (18.7 seconds); Amy Kelly in the 400-meter hurdles (71.5 seconds); Ariene Ohimor in the shot put (29'5"); and Sarah Quattrucci in the triple jump (28'4").

Other third place finishers included: Maya Barrant in the 100-meters (13.8 seconds); Imani David in the 200-meters (28.3 seconds); Kerry O'Neil in the mile (5:55) and Amy Kelly in the long jump (14'4.5").
