The Pirates beat the Mets two games to zero in a best of three series to win the  AA title. The Pirates clinched the championship Friday, June 15.
The Pirates finished the regular season an AA best 12-5, beating the Marlins in the semifinals on the way to the championship. Meanwhile, the Mets were 8-6-1 in the regular season, beating the Red Sox before playing the Pirates in the finals.
