Former Stoughton High Basketball Standout Ruffin Provides Power at Forward for Drexel University

Former Stoughton High basketball star Dartaye Ruffin started 29 games at power forward for the Drexel University men's basketball team this season.

Stoughton's Dartaye Ruffin finished his junior year with the Division 1 Drexel University men's basketball team, starting 29 out of 30 games at power forward.

The 6-8, 250-pound Ruffin averaged 6.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game this season. 

Ruffin scored a season-high 15 points against Penn back on Nov. 17, and recorded a season-high 14 rebounds against UNC Wilmington on March 2.

Drexel lost to George Mason University, 60-54, in the Colonial Athletic Association tournament to end the season at 13-18.

Ruffin moved into a starting role this year after being the big first man off the bench as a sophomore, averaging 5.6 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. As a freshman, he was named to CAA Rookie Team, with 7.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game

A communications major, Ruffin played at New Hampton Prep after a standout basketball career at Stoughton High.
