Spring Walk at Bird St Conservation Area

As part of the month-long program, "Stoughton Unplugged," there will be a guided two-mile walk from the West Street entrance (beside 1308 West St.) of the Bird St. Conservation area at 9:30 am on Saturday, April 16.  This is your last chance to get extended views of the landscape before it is obscured by new leaves.  The walk, led by Dwight MacKerron will visit Goat Rock, the Messer Quarry, Chickataubit's Chair, the site of former Girl Scout Camp Walihyu, CW Welch Pond, and Beartooth Rock.  We should also hear the spring peepers.  Updated, color-coded maps of the Bird St trails will be available for a small fee.  For more information call 781 341 0357.
