HOST FAMILIES NEEDED

Dear Stoughton Parents,

Stoughton  High School has decided to welcome exchange students from around the world to attend school for the 2012-2013 academic year, and experience life as an American high school student.

This will be an exciting opportunity for the expected students, as well as an incredible learning experience for your family! Our host families learn first-hand about a foreign country and its culture from the perspective of an exchange student who has grown up there.

They share in the evolving process of bringing the world closer together through cultural sharing and friendship. Your children will gain knowledge and understanding necessary to thrive in and contribute to a society marked by increased diversity. Most of all, they will gain a new family member with whom to share friendship that will last a lifetime. In order for these amazing experiences to happen, we need your help!

We are looking for a few loving families that are willing to open their homes and hearts to host these students. We ask that that the families provide meals, a safe place to stay, and a chance to bond with an American family. Students have their own spending money and insurance, and as your local field manager, I would provide supervision and support.

Students will arrive in August; however, we need your response no later than May 19th to finalize the necessary paperwork. If you and your family are interested in providing a home for an international exchange student, or you would like more information, please contact Shereen Russell-Ahmed at (617)-515-3800 or srussellahmed@icesusa.org.
