On what was senior day for Stoughton, all seven seniors on the team started - captains Michelle Bisbee, Angelos, and Flaherty, along with Kerry Backman, Lauren Carmichael, Kerman and Zuk.

A sophomore had the first big hit for Stoughton though, with a Pizzano triple scoring Angelos and Zuk to tie the game 2-2.

Flaherty and Michelle Bisbee also picked up RBIs in the inning, with Stoughton taking a 6-2 lead after the first inning.

Stoughton kept up the pressure with a run in the fourth, two more runs in the fifth, and another in the sixth.

Defensively, Pizzano had two diving catches and Cramer was on fire on the mound.

The seven seniors were “the heart and soul of this team all along” Coach Janet Sullivan said.

“They all bring great skills but more importantly great leadership and a strong work ethic. They keep the attitude of the team positive. Each one contributes in their own way but as a group the seven of them have just been tremendous.”

Stoughton concludes the season Friday on the road at Quincy.
