The boys team faced the full Hockomock league for the first time this season at the championship meet. While they didn't dominate the way they did through the Davenport dual meet season, the team more than held their own.

As has been the case the boys had a solid effort across the board with points scored in the sprints, jumps, throws and distance events.

Leading scorer was Malachi Baugh who won the 100-meter (11.52 seconds) and placed eighth in the long jump (19'4") and anchored the second place 4 x 100-meter relay team (44.48 seconds).

Samir Sofi and Aaron Mack each scored 8 points. Samir missed out on a league championship by a 1/2 inch in the long jump (21'2.5"). Aaron placed third in the 100-meters (11.69 seconds) and led off the 4 x 100-meter relay.

Marcus Middleton and Matt Mack were the other 4 x 100-meter relay team members.

Alex Green had a huge personal best in the discus - qualifying for the state meet with a throw of 127'3". Andrew Valle added a 5th place finish in the javelin (141'8").

In the distance events, David Lockhart (6th place in the mile, 4:33) and Wayne Barnaby (5th place in the 2 mile, 9:56) also ran personal bests.

Barnaby and Lockhart then teamed up with Jason Marshall and Jack D'Addieco for 5th place  in the 4 x 400-meter relay (3:35 - season best).

Alfred Parker finished 8th in the 100-meters. The 100-meter final featured 3 Stoughton runners out of the top 8.

Beyond the scorers, Marshall added a new personal best in the high jump (5'8"), Antonio Irons ran a PR in the 2 mile (11:05) and Jordan Taylor was the top freshman in the league in the 400-meter (55.06 seconds) and Alex Smith lowered his best to 58.84 seconds.

Smeet Patel was the league's top freshman in the 200-meter dash (25.14 seconds) as was Alex Oliver in the 110-meter high hurldes (17.60 seconds). Matt O'Connor equaled his best in the javelin (117'10").
