A Kid Wins DiMatteo Memorial 5K Race at Bob Famous Foodmart's Kids' Day

Before he went to the starting line, Adam Petti told he was going to win the Bob DiMatteo Memorial 5K at the Bob Famous Market's Kids' Day.
The 16-year-old from Raynham just laughed and went out won the race going way with a time of 19:02. Stoughton's James Brickett, 44, was a little over a minute behind him in a time of 20:10.
"I didn't run hard as I had a race last Thursday," said Petti. "Last year, I was second as I went out too fast."
After he took the lead early in the race, Petti ran by himself for most of the 5K distance.
"He was gone after the first 300 meters," said Brickett with a smile. "I was alone with the police officer most of the time.
