What are your future plans? I’ll be going to Wheelock College in Boston, and I plan to major in earlychildhood education, with a minor in social work. And then I’d really like to work as a vocational teacher inmy shop at my school. I would absolutely love to come back and teach here.

Who is your favorite teacher? Sheila Fox, who is the SkillsUSA advisor for Southeastern. She’s always beenthere for me - she made me believe I could be a state officer and she pushed me to do it. She also made mebelieve that anything’s possible, and she proved it to me.

What was your favorite experience? I’ve had a lot, but serving as a state officer for SkillsUSA is somethingI’ll never forget. Our Washington, D.C. trip was amazing. We got to sit with kids from all over the world, andI now have friends from Puerto Rico and Guam.

What is your favorite past-time? I did cheerleading for eight years, including my freshman year, but I had toquit because I had so many other activities. But I still coach cheerleading for the Stoughton Little League.

What is your favorite food? I’m Spanish and Greek, and my mother makes a Spanish dish, Mofongo, that Ilove. It’s made out of plantains.

What is your favorite book? The Twilight Series.

What is your favorite song? Sweet Caroline (she’s also a Red Sox fan)

If you could be anyone for 24 hours who would it be? The president. I’d like to be in his shoes, and it wouldanswer a lot of questions we all want to know.

What was your senior project based on? SkillsUSA. A lot of kids don’t know about it, and I wanted themto see all the opportunities that were offered to us. I remember in eighth grade I was so quiet and shy, and Iwas terrified to give presentations, but just a month ago, I had to present to 3,000 people. It opened up so manydoors for me.

What is your advice to incoming freshmen? Get involved and don’t be afraid. Southeastern is such awelcoming school, and anything is possible. Also, try your best.
