Stoughton Native, BU Student Named to Hockey East All-Academic Team

Victoria Hanson was among seven to be named to the team.

A native of Stoughton and hockey player for the Boston University Terriers has been named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team, according to BU

Victoria Hanson, a business administration and management major, was among seven to be named to the team late last month. Hanson was one of four first-time honorees.

It is the sixth season in a row in which BU has had at least seven players on the All-Academic Team, according to BU.

Players are named to the All-Academic Team if they achieve a grade point average of 3.0 or better in each of the two academic periods during which they were actively competing, according to Hockey East

Hanson earned her first career win with BU last November, and subsequently played in the 2014 Beanpot hockey tournament this past February.
