Stoughton High Providing Bus Transportation for Students to Funeral of SHS Senior David Wade

The Funeral Service for Stoughton High senior David Wade will be held at St. James Church in Stoughton on Friday, Oct. 5.

The funeral for Stoughton High senior David Wade, who died following an accident on Sept. 29, will be held this Friday, Oct. 5 at 10 a.m. at St. James Church, 560 Page St., in Stoughton.

Although held during the school day, Stoughton High students can attend the funeral if they provide a note granting permission from a parent/guardian.

However, students may not drive themselves to the funeral, Stoughton High principal Julie Miller said. Instead, students can either take school-provided bus transportation or be dismissed by a parent/guardian and be transported to the funeral by the parent/guardian.

In an effort to keep our kids safe, SHS is providing busing for students to attend the funeral on Friday. Students will need to provide the school with a note from their parent/guardian to attend the funeral on the bus. Notes must be turned in by Thursday at 9 a.m. No students will be allowed to drive themselves from school to the funeral. Students not taking the bus will only be dismissed to a parent/guardian on Friday.
