Stoughton High DECA Students Score Big at Districts

Twenty-eight SHS students received an award at Tuesday's District conference, becoming eligible for the state conference.

Almost half of the students who competed in a District competition on January 31 are eligible to advance to the State DECA conference.

Sixty-eight SHS DECA members attended the District conference held at the Mansfield Holiday Inn.

DECA is a business and marketing education extra-curricular program.

“Due to the increase in membership by all chapters in DECA the competition this year was stiffer than any other year,” SHS DECA chapter advisor Eddie Rodrigues wrote in an email.

Twenty-eight SHS students received an award on Tuesday, becoming eligible to attend the State DECA conference. Four others will attend the state DECA conference as part of the Stoughton High DECA Quiz Bowl Team.

Stoughton High received six first place medals, six second place medals and five third place medals.

“The kids were great and had a lot of fun I am very proud of all of them,” Rodrigues wrote.   

The following SHS students are eligible for the State conference:
