Stoughton Eighth Graders Nominated for State's 351 Project

Amanda McGilicuddy was selected as an ambassador for Gov. Patrick's 351 Project.

Six students from O'Donnell Middle School were nominated this winter for a statewide initiative to select an ambassador from every city and town in the Commonwealth, according to Stoughton school officials on Tuesday

The project, known as the 351 Project, recommends nominations of students for their service to their communities and for their "open mindedness, respect, willing to make a difference, kindness, compassion, humility and generosity of spirit," according to an announcement by Stoughton Poublic Schools.

The ambassador selected this year from Stoughton was Amanda McGilicuddy, who was invited to the Massachusetts State House on Jan. 18 along with eight-grade students from all towns across the state.
